
Early Life
On September 11, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, James and Carolyn Mcnichol welcomed their daughter Christina Ann Mcnichol to this world. He is descended from Irish and Lebanon. His father was a carpenter, while his mother did a different job to support the family, and that included being a secretary, cosmetic sales force, and additional films. Mcnichol has two brothers, Jimmy Mcnichol, who is also an actor and singer, and Tommy Mcnichol. When he was six years old, his parents divorced, which was difficult for him. The detention of the three children was taken by his mother. Mcnichol and his brother Jimmy tried to increase the level of performance they could give, and they used to appear in several advertisements as children.
Career
Mcnichol’s career begins at a young age. He was only six years old when he first appeared in advertisements and then on TV shows. In 1974, Mcnichol made a television debut in the drama Apple’s Way. At that time he was only 12 years old. Two years later, he got a role that won two Emmy awards for the best supporting actress in the dramatic series. His role is in the television drama series. In 1977, he performed several music numbers during his appearance on TV Special, The Carpenter at Christmas, and a year later, he recorded the album Kristy and Jimmy Mcnichol for RCA Records. In the same year, siblings appeared in the second special vacation, called The Carpenter: A Christmas Portrait.
In 1977, the Mcnichol film’s career began. He acted in the black Sunday thriller, but his scene was cut during editing. This did not diminish the heart, and one year later, he starred in the black comedy film, The End. In 1980, his appearance in the film Hit Little Darlings, was recognized by many reviewers. He was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for the best supporting actress for his role only when I laughed (1981). He was also nominated for the Golden Raspberry Award for the worst actress because of her perfection in the 1982 Australian Romantic Musical Comedy The Pirate Movie. Four years later, he starred in a television war drama about World War II, Women of Valor, played T.J. Nolan.
So far, Mcnichol appeared in 22 films, and 19 television shows.
In 2011, at the age of 39, he decided to retire from acting. The reason is because he could not follow the level of appearance he did, due to bipolar disorder. After retiring, Mcnichol taught acting in private schools in Los Angeles.
